We were invited to speak at simultaneous men’s and ladies conferences in Amman, Jordan, in April 2017. After the conference was over, our friends took us on a short trip across the border to Israel for a few days .

Truly, it was an awesome thing to consider that we were walking where Jesus and his disciples had been so long ago! During the first day of exploration, we went to the place said to be the upper room where the Holy Ghost first fell after Jesus’ ascension. So many people (probably hundreds) were crammed into that place already, so it felt physically overwhelming in that sense. But to consider the moment, and to think of Acts 2 where the scriptures recount what happened, was impacting. Oh, to have witnessed that in person! Thankfully, we work at experiencing a personal Pentecost every day, so it’s easy to imagine how it might have felt. Truly, living for the Lord is exciting!

(Acts 2:1-4 NKJV) When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. (2) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. (3) Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. (4) And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
